Hola, Pato por acá, felíz domingo para vos. Hoy quiero contarte una historia. Una historia que empezó con un sueño, un montón de dudas y, sobre todo, con la incertidumbre de no saber si iba a funcionar. Pero también es una historia de constancia, autenticidad y, sobre todo, de creer en algo que sentía que tenía que existir.

El principio: un sábado vacío y un montón de preguntas 🤔

Todo empezó un sábado por la noche. Había pautado con el Bar Tavern tener un espacio de intercambio de idionas y cultural y me senté a esperar. La idea era simple: juntar a personas que quisieran practicar idiomas y compartir culturas. Pero ese primer día, solo vinieron tres personas. Tres. Y yo, ahí, con mi trago en la mano, me preguntaba: "¿Esto va a funcionar?. ¿Alguien más va a venir?. ¿Estoy loco?".

La verdad es que ese día me fui a casa con más dudas que certezas. Algo me decía que tenía que seguir. Que no podía rendirme en la primera. Y ahí está la clave: la constancia. Sabía que si quería que esto funcionara, tenía que estar ahí, todos los sábados, sin falta. Aunque vinieran dos personas, aunque viniera una. Porque si no estaba yo, ¿quién iba a estar? 🕰️💡

Las dudas y el dolor: ¿y si esto no funciona? 😓

Te mentiría si te digo que no tuve momentos de bajón. Hubo sábados en los que llegué a pensar: "¿Para qué sigo con esto?. Nadie viene, nadie lo valora". Pero en esos momentos, me agarraba de algo que me tome de grandes deportistas: "Las cosas grandes no se construyen de un día para el otro". Y tenía razón. No era fácil, pero tenía que confiar en mi visión. La inspiración y la visión fueron mi motor. Creer en algo que todavía no existía, pero que sentía que podía ser real. 🌟

Y ahí está el segundo tip: confiar en vos mismo/a, incluso cuando no tenés evidencias. Porque a veces, el único que cree en tu proyecto sos vos. Y está bien. Eso es lo que te va a empujar a seguir adelante. 💪✨

La autenticidad: ser yo, sin filtros 😎

Otra cosa que aprendí en el camino es que no podía forzar algo que no iba conmigo. Si quería que esto funcionara, tenía que ser auténtico. No podía pretender ser alguien que no soy. Y eso es algo que te quiero dejar como tercer tip: la autenticidad es clave. Si no estás alineado con tu esencia, con tu personalidad, el proyecto no va a fluir. La gente no se conecta con algo falso, se conecta con lo real. Y yo soy así: descontracturado, amigable, y con ganas de conectar con otros/as. Eso es lo que transmití, y eso es lo que la gente empezó a sentir, se transmite. 🌈💬

La resiliencia: cuando los números suben y bajan 📈📉

No todo fue color de rosa. Hubo sábados en los que vinieron 20 personas, y otros en los que vinieron 5. Y eso me mataba por dentro. Pero aprendí que la resiliencia es fundamental. No podía dejar que los números me definieran. Tenía que seguir adelante, sin importar si un sábado era un éxito o un "fracaso". Porque al final, lo importante no era cuántos venían, sino la calidad de las conexiones que se generaban, me costo mucho salir de esa trampa de los resultados. 🌱💥

Hoy: una comunidad que no para de crecer 🌟🌍

Hoy, mirando hacia atrás, me emociona ver cómo ese sueño que empezó con tres personas se convirtió en una comunidad global. Cada sábado batimos récords de asistentes, recibimos gente de todas partes del mundo, y lo más lindo: se generan conexiones reales. Gente que llega como extraños y se va como amigos. Gente que aprende no solo idiomas, sino también sobre otras culturas, otras formas de ver la vida. 🌏🤝

Y eso es lo que más me llena el alma: saber que estoy construyendo algo que trasciende. Algo que no solo me hace bien a mí, sino que también impacta positivamente en la vida de otros. 💖✨

¿Qué me motivó a hacerlo? 💡

Te cuento un poco más sobre lo que me llevó a crear este proyecto. Yo solía ir a otros eventos culturales y de intercambio de idiomas, pero siempre terminaba frustrado. ¿Por qué?. Porque era imposible profundizar en las conversaciones. Había tantas personas y tanto ruido que la interacción se volvía dificultosa. Además, tenía que hacer una fila inmensa solo para comprar una bebida, lo cual me agotaba. Y lo peor: comenzar interacciones dependía siempre de mí. No había anfitriones que facilitaran las conversaciones. Yo tengo la facilidad de empezar charlas, pero veía que las personas más introvertidas lo pasaban mal o directamente no asistían por eso.

Entonces pensé: "Yo quiero sentarme, no tengo ganas de estar parado toda la noche. Quiero que me atiendan, no hacer una fila por una coca; para eso me voy al McDonald's. Y no siempre tengo ganas de comenzar conversaciones; si alguien puede ahorrarme esa energía, yo lo valoro". Y así fue como empecé a diseñar un evento diferente, pensando en los asistentes y en cómo hacer que su experiencia fuera lo más cómoda y enriquecedora posible. 🪑🍹💬

Hi, Pato here, happy Sunday and today I want to tell you a story. A story that started with a dream, a lot of doubts, and, above all, the uncertainty of not knowing if it would work. But it's also a story of persistence, authenticity, and, most importantly, believing in something I felt had to exist. Are you staying?. Because this isn't just my story; it could be yours too. 💭💪

The Beginning: an empty Saturday and a lot of Questions 🤔

It all started one Saturday night. I had a deal with Taver Bar. The idea was simple: bring together people who wanted to practice languages and share cultures. But that first day, only three people showed up. Three. And there I was, with my drink in hand, wondering: "Is this going to work?. Will anyone else come?. Am I crazy?".

Truth is, I went home that day with more doubts than certainties. But something told me I had to keep going. That I couldn't give up on the first try. And that's the key: consistency. I knew that if I wanted this to work, I had to be there, every Saturday, no matter what. Even if only two people came, even if only one showed up. Because if I wasn't there, who would be? 🕰️💡

The doubts and the pain: What if this doesn't work? 😓

I'd be lying if I said I didn't have low moments. There were Saturdays when I thought: "Why am I still doing this?. No one comes, no one values it". But in those moments, I held onto something my mom used to say: "Big things aren't built overnight". And she was right. It wasn't easy, but I had to trust my vision. Inspiration and vision were my driving force. Believing in something that didn't exist yet but that I felt could be real. 🌟

And that's the second tip: trust yourself, even when you have no evidence. Because sometimes, you're the only one who believes in your project. And that's okay. That's what will push you to keep going. 💪✨

Authenticity: being me, no filters 😎

Another thing I learned along the way is that I couldn't force something that wasn't me. If I wanted this to work, I had to be authentic. I couldn't pretend to be someone I'm not. And that's something I want to leave you as the third tip: authenticity is key. If you're not aligned with your essence, with your personality, the project won't flow. People don't connect with something fake; they connect with what's real. And that's how I am: laid-back, friendly, and eager to connect with others.

That's what I transmitted, and that's what people started to feel. 🌈💬

Resilience: when the numbers go up and down 📈📉

It wasn't all rainbows. There were Saturdays when 20 people showed up, and others when only 5 came. And that killed me inside. But I learned that resilience is fundamental. I couldn't let the numbers define me. I had to keep going, no matter if a Saturday was a success or a "failure". Because in the end, what mattered wasn't how many came, but the quality of the connections that were made. 🌱💥

Today: A community that never stops growing 🌟🌍

Today, looking back, it fills me with emotion to see how that dream that started with three people became a global community. Every Saturday, we break attendance records, welcoming people from all over the world, and the best part: real connections are made. People who arrive as strangers and leave as friends. People who learn not just languages, but also about other cultures, other ways of seeing life. 🌏🤝

And that's what fills my soul the most: knowing that I'm building something that transcends. Something that not only does me good but also positively impacts the lives of others. 💖✨

What motivated me to do it? 💡

Let me tell you a bit more about what led me to create this project. I used to go to other cultural and language exchange events, but I always ended up frustrated.

Why?. Because it was impossible to have deep conversations. There were so many people and so much noise that interaction became difficult. Plus, I had to stand in a huge line just to buy a drink, which exhausted me. And the worst part: starting interactions always depended on me. There were no hosts to facilitate conversations. I'm good at starting chats, but I saw that more introverted people struggled or simply didn't attend because of that.

So I thought: "I want to sit down; I don't feel like standing all night. I want to be served, not stand in line for a Coke; for that, I'll go to McDonald's. And I don't always feel like starting conversations; if someone can save me that energy, I appreciate it". And that's how I started designing a different event, thinking about the attendees and how to make their experience as comfortable and enriching as possible. 🪑🍹💬
